ok, I will be back to hard core blogging next week….seriously I have tons to catch up on.
This year has been SUCH a learning experience for me. I truly can say I have had some serious inner battles and struggles that I have somehow made it through a HAPPY person. I have had some hard moments of learning more of my own weaknesses, moments of wanting to just sit down and QUIT, and some moments where I felt on top of the world. One thing for SURE, is that next year, things will be different. Not because my life is changing in any way, but because I have decided to change it. No more late nights on the computer, no more having a super filthy undecorated house, no more pizza dinners every night, and ya know what? DANG it I am SICK of taking myself too seriously!
I went through and counted from my 2009 hard drive all the session from this year and here is how much I worked myself to death….

15-weddings/engagements/etc

31-mommy models
21- senior sessions
2- dance studio/bridal shop sessions

I was going to put up one pic from each shoot and I got tired 1/2 way through doing that, and I wanted to since there were shoots I never blogged about.
ANYWAYS
What am I going to do different? I am expanding my business to TWO instead of one. I have lined up an AMAZING person who will be taking a huge chunk out of my work flow. She will be doing some photoshopping, print orders, online proofing, disk burning, post office trips, card designing, client info, and backing up images. YYYYYAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!! I will still be shooting (of course), blogging, and final photoshop touches on images….and albums for weddings…but COME ON!! All you photographers out there know how much WORK goes into having your own business….I think we all need an assistant.
NEW THINGS THIS YEAR……
1- I will finally start teaching Beginner Photographer Workshops starting in St. George in March 2010. Keep checking the blog for details….
2- Along with that I am starting a new private blog for my workshop attendees and any other photographers that want to buy a subscription which will include videos, pictures, and lessons on basic photographer tricks that I have personally learned these last 2 years.
3- Mommy Models will be MUCH longer and bigger this year…I will be traveling for it so email me if you are interested. MM doesn’t start until MAY 2010.
AND I am NOW booking sessions for 2010.
Jan-May will be ONLY weddings, seniors, and mini sessions.
May-August will be Mommy Models, families, minis, weddings, etc.
August-Dec I am guessing will be mostly families and weddings.
I have already contacted those who have emailed me in the last 2 months for booking. There are already 21 people now booking weddings, seniors, families, and minis so if you want to make sure you get a spot, please email me right away.
