13 years old….beautiful as ever….
before having a child my life was full of well slept-through nights, lots of free time, and less swear words…….
however, it was also not as funny as it is now. even though last night from 4am-8am i was awake with my whining daughter (she is getting molars), i had to laugh when i put her in her chair to eat breakfast this morning and actually looked at her face and hair. you should have seen what i looked like but of course no pictures were being taken of yours truly.

ok i had alot of fun tonight with this chick! believe it or not…we took these in a VERY VERY dark broken down house…. so i learned LOTS about my flash! i am a flash-hater and have tried to avoid it for the last year….there is a window on the right that is BARELY bringing in ANYTHING….but after tonight i am in LOVE with my flash and will probably use it in all of my shoots during the day if we end up in shade or by a window.
this shot below was “bounced” flash….meaning i turned my flash up to the ceiling and bounced it off…..lots of the time if you use the flash directly on the subject it brings out those pretty hair details and highlights that were lost in this “bounce” flash below. all in all…. i LOVE this picture of her. i told her to give me “sexy” and she did for .4 seconds and burst into laughing. so cute!!
this pic had WAY harsh orange sun ONLY on her face while the rest of the room/and her body were dark in the shadows. so i knew it HAD to be a black and whiter….but turned out to give her good light on her pretty face!
WELL!!!! i could show millions of pictures of her that i am SOOO using on my future wedding website that i am building, but i like surprises so you will all have to wait until its launched.

i thought i would share what i am entering in a photo contest….. you have to take a pic holding a pic/sign of what you want for christmas and make it look like an old polaroid picture. hubby took it, and i am EMBARRASINGLY the one with the big belly on the left…haha. i had to cut and paste hailey out of another picture because this was the ONLY cute shot we got of her actually holding that dang sign. i had to feed her twix just to sit still….
arent they the cutest little buggers???? 2 kiddos from previous sessions..they are totally not related in any shape or form, but i thought i would throw on a couple. and of course……ITS SNOWING FINALLY!!! i was actually kinda excited to see it come. im sure it wont last too long haha. and of course one of these days i will get my blog right. during my “hybernation” i am fixing all of my little business problems with both website stuff and blogging.
we went with a group of friends today and cut down our christmas tree! i just wanted to post one of me and my buddy in the snow. it was so much fun…..and i am so excited for christmas i am giddy!
next year i will be launching a new/seperate WEDDING website and i am looking for college-aged (no high schoolers) girls who are interested in modeling for a bridal shoot. it is completely free and you will need to provide your own wedding dress. you do not have to be getting married….you may be married already or just want to do it for fun. you will receive a disk when i am done with them. i will be experimenting with some new lighting tricks and photoshopping with you, (oooo it will be fun) and you need to bring a friend with you to help me with details. oh course i will be picking all your locations and poses, but hair/makeup is up to you. EMAIL ME asap so i can schedule you in this month. i am only taking a limited number (i havn’t decided yet).
you must travel to ME if you live outside of Cedar City Utah. And you must be comfortable and CONFIDENT in front of my camera! i want sassy girls who like to show off who they are.
